BugNexus — a European Sentry alternative that doesn't punish you for scaling.

BugNexus is the error-monitoring tool we kept rebuilding inside client engagements because Sentry's pricing scaled painfully past a hundred services. Self-hostable, source-available, EU-based. Early-access waitlist is open — first users get pricing locked for 24 months and a direct line to the founder during the beta.

What it will do

Error monitoring without the per-event tax.

BugNexus does the same job Sentry does — collect exceptions and errors from your apps, deduplicate them into issues, alert humans, link them to the deployment that caused them, and let on-call engineers actually solve them. The differences are in the parts most teams notice only after the bill arrives.

Self-hostable by design. The reference deployment is a single Docker image plus a Postgres database; for larger fleets there is a horizontally-scaled mode. No data leaves your infrastructure unless you opt in.

Predictable pricing. No per-event quotas with surprise overages; instead, a flat fee per host and a flat fee per seat. A team with 200 services pays the same per-host rate as a team with 5.

EU-based, source-available. Hosted on EU infrastructure with German data-processing terms; source code available so security review and integration audits can happen without a sales call.

Why we're building it

Because the alternative was rebuilding the same wrapper every engagement.

Two clients in a row asked the same question — "can we get Sentry-like ergonomics without the Sentry bill?" — and the answer for both was a self-hosted GlitchTip plus a custom alerting layer plus a wrapper around the SDKs. We're building it once, well, and shipping it so the next client gets a finished tool instead of another re-derivation.

Need this now?

Until BugNexus ships, I can help directly.

If you need error-monitoring infrastructure today, an App Development engagement can stand up a self-hosted GlitchTip + custom alerting layer in 3–4 weeks — and you'll get a credit if you migrate to BugNexus at launch.
